A report published last week by CGT Catapult showed that 2018 has marked the fourth consecutive year of increase in manufacturing cleanroom footprint. The UK industry already employs over 500 people full-time which marks an increase of 30% over last year full-time employment.

To support this continued growth CGT Catapult has launched a first-of-its kind apprenticeship programme, designed specifically to train and upskill individuals to develop, manufacture and deliver these advanced therapies at scale.

This increase in manufacturing capacity, together with the associated investment in new skilled individuals will result in significant growth in manufacturing capability, maintaining the UK’s leadership position in the development of these disruptive, potentially curative therapies.

These events were part of our seminar event series focussed on supporting commercialisation.

Attendees from academia and industry were also invited to attended 1:1 sessions with a panel of CGT Catapult’s own subject matter experts to receive feedback on their projects, looking ahead towards translation of their research.

If you are interested in attending a future CGT Catapult seminar event, please sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest news and upcoming events.
