Welcome to our monthly email

And a special welcome to all of you who have joined us in recent months. Thank you for your concern about the persecuted church around the world. This month you can find the latest information about our Standing Strong events (it’s not too late to join us) and also our plans to present the Hope for the Middle East petition to the UN. There’s also news from Egypt, Nigeria, Iran and Myanmar.

Don’t forget to check out our website for more news, information and resources about persecuted Christians. You can also follow us on TwitterFacebook or Instagram. Please do keep praying. Share this email with others. Thank you!

HOPE FOR THE MIDDLE EAST - PLEASE PRAY AND SHARE

It's not too late to add more names to the Hope for the Middle East petition before it's presented to the UN. But please hurry! Share it with as many people as you can, and if you haven’t signed it, please do so. We’re hoping to arrange meetings with the UN Secretary-General and also the UK Prime Minister and we’ve invited some of our persecuted brothers and sisters to join us and tell their own stories. So please pray that visas will be granted! And remember, our free Rebuild Hope pack has an easy-to-use all-age service to help you spread the word and pray for believers in the Middle East.

DON’T MISS OUT - YOU CAN STILL COME TO STANDING STRONG

Advance booking has closed for our Standing Strong events in Belfast and Birmingham, but tickets are available on the door for both events. We've got some amazing, inspirational speakers, including Maran - CEO and founder of not-for-profit organisation Al Hadaf - who will be talking about her work with Iraqi refugees in Jordan. So don’t miss out: join us for a day of inspiration and celebration as we stand together with the persecuted church.

HELP FOR DESPERATE ROHINGYA REFUGEES

Open Doors partners have been delivering food aid to Rohingya families living in refugee camps in Bangladesh. Over half a million Rohingya adults and children have fled violence in Myanmar. The Rohingya people are persecuted because they are Muslims. Some, though, have become Christians - and this means that they are outcasts among the outcasts, hated not only by the Burmese, but also by other Rohingya. Your support means so much. One woman, Yunus, thanked Open Doors and said, “Thank you for your help. I was in so much distress as I have no food to feed my child. May God bless you all.”
