Join us for this free residential event at the University of Essex.

This event offers a unique opportunity for students to experience what it is like to study at a university and will help you to make informed decisions about continuing your studies after finishing school or college, as well as developing important skills to help you thrive in the future. 

All meals and activities are included, and travel bursaries are available. The event is organised and funded by Make Happen, in partnership with the University of Essex.

Responsibility for your child

Make Happen is responsible for the welfare of your child while he/she is attending the programme. As parent(s)/carer(s), you are responsible for the welfare of your child up to the hand-over point at the beginning of the event, and again from the hand-over point at the end of the event. Hand over points are at the University of Essex Colchester Campus, unless otherwise specified in writing. Should your child be traveling independently to and from the event, you maintain responsibility during this time.

Arrival: 12th July at 12:00
Departure: 14th July at 17:30


You will need to make travel arrangements to and from this location. 

Bursaries are available to support with travel costs, including pre-paid train tickets (to Colchester Main station) for successful applicants
