Make Happen is part of the Uni Connect programme funded by the Office for Students (OfS) to support young people to access Higher Education. Make Happen delivers activities, events, and competitions with feedback to help inform and inspire interest in Higher Education. Working with partners in schools, colleges and universities we talk to young people, parents/carers and teachers about the options available. Aimed at students aged 17-19, studying in their first or second year of college/sixth-form, this one day event will provide students with the opportunity to shadow an undergraduate student at a local university.  They will explore a subject they are interested in, explore the facilities, chat to current students and academics at the university and enjoy a free lunch.

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the reality of student life, at a local university with a current student in preparation for their own higher education experience. Any travel costs associated with the visit will be pre-paid or reimbursed.

All events will take place at University of Essex, Colchester Campus. All travel will be arranged with you if your application is successful.
