We are excited to announce that we have recently launched a brand-new training course for our BRCGS Academy learners.
Our new Leadership Essentials Programme aims to develop the food and product safety leaders of tomorrow. It considers the current trends and needs within the food safety industry and transforms this into a learning and development programme designed specifically for professionals working in the industry today.
The programme works differently to traditional BRCGS Academy courses. It is a seven-week programme which comprises of five 180-minute virtual sessions, taking place weekly, and concludes with a final assessment. Following the course, attendees will also receive an additional one-hour session of performance coaching.

To introduce our new Leadership Essentials Programme and provide some context on current industry trends, we recently hosted a webinar with an impressive line-up of industry experts.
Our panel of speakers came together to discuss the concept of leadership in a Product Safety context. This included the gaps in leadership, management and professional skills within the industry, why the gaps exist, the impact on organisational capability and culture, and what we can do as individuals to close the skills gap to enhance leadership and management practices throughout the industry.
