Terms and conditions

Confirmation of participation

Your place at the event is confirmed once you submit the registration form. From that point, your participation is binding and these terms and conditions apply.

English UK reserves the right to decline any application without giving a reason.

Applications will only be considered from educators and service providers whose products are appropriately accredited or compatible with the theme of the event.

Our aim is to offer agents attending the event a wide range of providers and provision. Consequently, if more providers apply than there are places available, selection will be made based on ensuring a representative sample of programme types, location and provision is provided. Beyond these criteria, places will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility

Companies that offer education programmes or courses, including their related businesses, are not allowed to take part in the event as agents or buyers.

Service providers must not sell or promote any courses or education programmes, whether they are their own or belong to someone else, an affiliate or another organisation.

If a provider wants to promote more than one company, they must give us proof that all the centres they are promoting are owned by the same organisation or are part of the same franchise.

Payment terms

All fees are payable in GBP (£) as indicated on the registration form and invoice, by credit card or bank transfer. Full and immediate payment will be due by credit card for registrations received within 30 days of the event. Participation in the event will be refused if payment has not been received in full by the event start date.

Marcom eSchedule PRO profile

If your attendance package includes a meeting schedule, the details you provide will be used to create your profile on Marcom eSchedule PRO. It is your responsibility to check that the information is correct and let English UK know about any mistakes or missing details. We cannot be held responsible for any errors that were not reported to us.

You will only be given access to Marcom eSchedule PRO once we have received full payment.

Participants list

The participant details, accessed via the event website and Marcom eSchedule PRO, are for one-time use in connection with this event and may not be passed on to a third party.

Liability & insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out suitable insurance, such as cover for personal liability, fire and theft. English UK cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to your exhibits or equipment, such as through fire or theft, or for any personal injury, whether it happens before, during, or after the event.

You will be held responsible for any damage or injury caused by you, your employees or by any of your exhibits or equipment.

Personal data

We take your privacy seriously. We aim to be clear about how and why we use your personal data, and we work hard to keep it safe.
We will not keep your data longer than necessary, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You can contact us at any time about your data by emailing info@englishuk.com. You can also withdraw your consent for us to use your data. Please note: if you withdraw consent before the event starts, this will count as a cancellation and the cancellation fees outlined below will apply.

Media waiver

We may take photos or record video during the event. If you do not want your image or footage to be used in future promotional materials, please let us know.

Please be aware that members of the industry press may also be present and may take photos or video to report on the event.

Changes and cancellation by us

We may cancel the event in exceptional circumstances, such as low attendance or unforeseen issues. If this happens, we will try to give at least four weeks’ notice.

If we cancel, we will refund your participation fee or any part of it already paid. We may deduct money transfer fees.

We may also in rare cases change the event dates. If so, we will not refund the fee but will transfer your registration to the new date.

If a major incident or disaster prevents the event from happening as planned and it is rescheduled, we will transfer your registration to the new date. In this case, we will not refund the fee.

In these cases, we are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may incur.

Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing.
  • More than 90 days before the event: full refund
  • 30–90 days before the event: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 days before the event or once access to Marcom eSchedule PRO has been granted, whichever is earlier: no refund, but you can send someone else in your place if you let us know in advance
