This project is designed for students aged 17-19, studying in their first or second year of college or sixth-form who want to have a first-hand experience of studying a specific subject at university.

This free one day event will give you the opportunity to shadow an undergraduate student to find out what student life is like. You will get a taster of the subject/s you are interested in studying, explore the universities facilities, chat to current students and academics at the university and enjoy a free lunch on campus!

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the reality of student life in preparation for your own higher education experience and to add to your applications. Any travel costs associated with the visit will be pre-paid or reimbursed to you. 

The event is taking place on the 19th May at the University of Essex, Colchester Campus. All travel will be arranged with you if your application is successful.

There are 10 spaces available at each Anglia Ruskin event and 30 places available at the University of Essex event. Dates for the University of Essex event are not yet confirmed so please just indicate your interest in this event and we will be in contact once the details are confirmed. 

You can select up to 3 events in order of preference. We will try to give everyone their first choice where possible, but priority will be given to students who are from an under-represented group and/or live in a UniConnect postcode (you can ask you college/sixth form to let you know this information).

Please provide information of one of your tutors who will be able to confirm that you can take the day off college to attend this project (e.g. form tutor, head of year etc.).
