START! Issue 2 training now available

Alternative desc

Issue 2 of the BRCGS START! Programme was launched in March 2023 and audits against the new Issue started earlier this month. For sites that are transitioning to the new issue, the best way to prepare you team and your business is to sign up for a BRCGS training course. Not only will it prepare you for the changes, but will help ensure you can implement these changes at your site to maintain compliance against the new issue.

The BRCGS START! for Sites course is designed for participants to learn how to effectively implement both the basic and intermediate levels of the BRCGS START! Programme Issue 2. It serves as an essential resource for sites seeking to achieve compliance to ensure the safety and quality of their products.

This online training is highly interactive and includes various activities and scenarios to help participants understand the requirements and expected food safety, quality, regulatory and authenticity obligations.

By the end of the course, participants should have the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully implement the BRCGS START! Programme Issue 2 requirements within their business, including:

  • Knowledge of what is required to comply with the requirements of the Standard
  • Understanding of the scope of companies and products covered by the Standard
  • What to expect from the BRCGS audit
  • How to prepare for an audit to the Standard
  • Familiarity with the resource tools available for compliance and support from BRCGS
